Youth Leadership Academy: Our Journey Begins!
Find Your Voice. Build Your Confidence. Lead Your Community. The Center for Urban Transformation proudly kicked off its Youth Leadership Academy on Saturday, October 17, 2026, bringing together young people for the beginning of an exciting leadership journey. Our kickoff focused on building connections, discovering personal strengths, exploring what makes an effective leader, and establishing the foundation for a supportive and empowering cohort. Through interactive leadership activities, group discussions, and personal reflection, participants were encouraged to recognize that leadership isn't just about holding a title — it's about character, confidence, accountability, teamwork, and making a positive difference. This kickoff marks the beginning of a journey that will continue through June 2027, featuring leadership development, mentorship, communication skills, career exposure, and opportunities for youth to make their voices heard in their communities. This is just the beginning. The next generation of community leaders is taking shape!
